最近旅行に行き過ぎで、順番が前後しますが、6月半ばの箱根旅行の時に箱根ユネッサンにも行きました。
存在は知っていましたが、実は初めての場所で色々調べて他ので、当時1歳（2歳直前）の子供にも楽しめるのか？という視点で書いてみます。
During my mid-June trip to Hakone, I also visited Hakone Yunessun.
I knew of its existence, but it was actually my first time there, so I did some research beforehand.
I’ll write from the perspective of whether it’s enjoyable for a 1-year-old and a child who was almost 2 years old at the time.
アクセス Access:
私たちはロマンスカーで箱根に来て、箱根湯本駅からバスで行きました。ユネッサンから徒歩1分の場所でおろしてくれます。
ちなみにバスは小田急と伊豆急行がほぼ同じルートで走っているのですが、小田急にすると「箱根フリーパス 」が使えます。つまりその利用者で混むということ！ベビーカーもあったので出来れば空いていたい私たちにとって、伊豆急行は空いててとてもよかったです。
We took a Romance Car to Hakone, and bus from Hakone-Yumoto Station, which dropped us off just a 1-minute walk away from Yunessun.
By the way, both Odakyu and Izu-Hakone buses run on almost the same route, but if you choose Odakyu, you can use the “Hakone Free pass.” That means it gets crowded with those users! Since we had a stroller and preferred it to be less crowded if possible, we found the Izu-Hakone bus to be less crowded and very convenient.

There are discounts on the official website, but AssoView seemed to be the best value.
チェックイン Check In：
ここで入場料などを支払います。鍵をもらい、今後はこちらで全て払うように言われます。
Here, you pay the entrance fee and receive a key. They tell you that you’ll need to pay for everything hereafter.
タオルや水着をレンタル Renting towels and swimsuits:
薄いタオルが一枚４００円くらいしたので車の人はぜひ持ってくるのをお勧め！我らは濡れたのを持ち歩きたくなかったのでレンタル。水着は持ち込みました。
The thin towels cost around 400 yen each, so I recommend bringing your own if you’re traveling by car! Since we didn’t want to carry wet towels around, we rented them. We brought our own swimsuits.
着替えロッカーエリア：Changing area
ロッカーはすごい量がある割に広くなく、かつ小学生くらいまでの子連れがとても多いので、日曜朝は結構混み合っていました。椅子などは限りがあります。
The lockers are quite numerous but not very spacious, and there were many families with children up to elementary school age, so it was quite crowded on Sunday mornings. There is limited seating available. Also there is no privacy room to change.
室内へ入場 Entering the indoor area:
混んでる！日曜日午前だからでしょうか。そして想像以上に古い。笑
とはいえ、体と体がぶつかるようなことはありません。2歳には深すぎたので、キッズエリアへ。お湯がちょうどよく暖かい。
It was crowded!! Maybe because it was Sunday morning.
Nevertheless, there wasn’t any bumping into each other. Since it was too deep for a 2-year-old, we headed to the kids’ area. The water was just the right temperature and warm.
ここは浅くて足元だけです。Here, it was shallow, just up to the feet.
なお、ベビーカーを持って入っても良いと言われていたので荷物置きのためにそうしていたのですが、結構階段が多かったので、結局１Fに置きっぱなしになりました・・・意味なかった。土足じゃないのにベビーカーは持ち込み可能って少し不思議です。。
It was mentioned that we could bring the stroller inside for storage, so we did that, but there were quite a few stairs, so in the end, we left it on the 1st floor… It was kind of pointless. It’s a little strange that strollers are allowed even though it’s not a shoe zone.
屋外へ Outdoor:
このスライダーは娘には水飛沫が怖かったようで、あまりやりたがりませんでした。
大人向けのウォータースライダーもあり、これはすごいスピードが出て迫力満点。年齢制限あります。うちの大きな男の子（夫 アメリカ人男子４０代）が２回も楽しみました。
My daughter was a bit scared of the water splashes on the slides, so she didn’t really want to try them.
There were also water slides for adults, and they were quite fast and thrilling. There are age restrictions. My big boy (my husband, an American man in his 40s) enjoyed them twice.
洞窟内が娘にヒット The cave baths were a big hit:
赤い光がある洞窟のお風呂が娘は気に入って、ここに長居しました。
My daughter liked the red-lit baths in the caves and stayed there for a long time.
景色の見える温泉へ Onsen with a view:
橋を渡って歩くと、足湯のような、全身浸かれるようなお風呂があり、ここは家族みんなのんびりできてとてもよかったです。
When you cross the bridge and walk, there is a bath where you can immerse your whole body, like a foot bath, and it was very relaxing for the whole family.

もう一度室内へ。２階にはいろんな香りのお風呂があります。テーマパークみたいで楽しい！
Back indoors again. On the second floor, there are various scented baths. It’s like a theme park and lots of fun!

まあでも、どれも濃すぎる香りというわけではなく、よく嗅げばそんな気もする、という程度でしたが、テーマパークっぽくて楽しかったです。
Well, none of them had overpowering scents, but if you sniffed closely, you could sense them to some extent. It was like a theme park and a lot of fun.
滞在時間は2時間
10amくらいに着き、昼食は強羅でNOBUが1時半に予約してあったのと、娘が飽きてきたので、12時くらいにロッカールームへ向かい、退散しました。そしてバスの中からNOBUの間中、昼寝してくれました！もっと大きければ昼寝も不要で長く遊べると思います。
Duration of stay:
We entered around 10am, had a reservation at NOBU in Gora for lunch at 1:30 pm, and my daughter was getting bored, so around noon, we headed back to the locker room and left.And she napped from the bus all the way to NOBU! I think if they were bigger they could play longer without needing a nap.
まとめ Summary
夫は、また日帰りでも行こうか？？と言ってました。笑
アメリカやドバイにはこういう温泉プールのアトラクションってなかなか無いので、新鮮だったようです。
全体的に、シャワー含め設備は少し古いので、きらきら感は皆無です。でも、温泉プールでリラックスできつつ、こうやっていろんな遊びができるのは本当楽しい！私も下の子が生まれて歩けるようになった頃に、大きくなった上の娘と楽しみたいなと思います。
My husband even said, “Should we go again for a day trip??” Haha.
Since countries like America and Dubai don’t have many hot spring pool attractions like this, it seemed refreshing to him.
Overall, the facilities, including the showers, are a bit old, so there is no glitzy feeling. However, being able to relax in the hot spring pool and enjoy various activities like this is truly enjoyable!
