先週末、6月の梅雨の合間の晴れ間に、箱根に行ってきました。今回はそのホテル編。
私は妊娠中ずーっと身体が辛いタイプなのですが、７ー８ヶ月の間はマシ。なので、妊娠７−8ヶ月にあたる5月と6月は、ほんとに毎週のように夫がホテルを予約してくれて、楽しんでいます。
Last weekend, during a break in the rainy season of June, I went to Hakone. This time, I will focus on the hotel experience.
I’ve been the type to have a difficult time with my body throughout my pregnancy, but it was better during the 7th and 8th months. So, in May and June, corresponding to the 7th and 8th months of pregnancy, my husband has been booking hotels for us almost every week, and we are enjoying ourselves.
箱根で宿やホテルを選ぶのは大変 Choosing Hakone Highland Hotel
箱根はホテルや旅館がたっくさんあって、選ぶのも一苦労ですよね。
今回は、去年娘が0歳で行った彫刻の森美術館にもう直ぐ2歳の娘を連れて遊ぶ！&大好きな高級ステーキレストラン、NOBUで食べる！というのがメインだったので、強羅周辺で選びました。
老舗で、なんと元々財閥の別宅だったとか！興味湧きます。そして評判がすごく良い！楽天トラベルでは4.8でした。高級宿とあるのにそんなに高くないし。（高いお部屋コースももちろんあります。）
急ですが母も誘って、1歳の娘、私たち夫婦、そして母の親子３代で行くことに！
＊ちなみに母との旅行は、2ヶ月連続。和歌山白浜出張にも私の仕事日に娘の面倒を見てくれたのです。
Hakone has a lot of hotels and ryokans, so it’s a bit of a challenge to choose. This time, we chose a hotel in the Gora area because our main plans were to visit the Hakone Open-Air Museum, where my 2-year-old daughter would play (she went there when she was 0 years old last year), and dine at my favorite upscale steak restaurant, NOBU.
Actually, initially we planned to stay at the same Hyatt hotel where we stayed in May, which were Hyatt Regency Osaka and Grand Hyatt Tokyo. However, when I searched for accommodations in the Gora area, I came across a highly reputed inn. That inn was “Hakone Highland Hotel.”
It was a sudden decision, but I invited my mother, and we decided to go with our 1-year-old daughter, our couple, and three generations of my mother’s family!
*By the way, this trip with my mother was the second consecutive month. She took care of my daughter while I was working during my business trip to Shirahama, Wakayama.

サービスがとても丁寧 Excellent service
箱根ハイランドホテルの方、対応が全員とても良かったです。若い女性も男性も、ホテルマンの誇りを持っていそうな方ばかり。
どこにも載っていない情報が多く、事前質問のためにも電話しましたが、とても気持ち良い回答。そして当日フロントでも同じような気持ちよさを感じました。ホテルに入る前からこちらにきて、荷物を持ってくださったり、部屋に入って説明くださったり。夫の誕生日直後だったので、そのお声がけもいただきました。
The staff at Hakone Highland Hotel were all very kind and provided excellent service. Whether they were young women or men, they all seemed to take pride in being hotel staff. They provided a lot of information that was not available elsewhere, and when I called for inquiries before the trip, they gave me very pleasant responses. On the day of our arrival, I felt the same level of hospitality at the front desk. It was also my husband’s birthday, and they even mentioned it.
敷地が広くて気持ちいい！Spacious and pleasant grounds!
新緑の美しい広大な敷地。なんと１５０００坪！東京ドームより広いんです。
夕方も翌朝も、娘はブランコに大喜び。ワンちゃんと泊まれる部屋もあるので、ドッグランもあります。
綺麗な花もたくさん咲いてて、お散歩にぴったりです。
A vast property with beautiful fresh greenery, spanning 15000 tsubo (about 8,000 m2, or 86,111sqf). My daughter was delighted with the swing both in the evening and the next morning. They also have rooms where you can stay with your dogs, and there is a dog run as well. There are many beautiful flowers blooming, making it perfect for a stroll.
天然温泉がとても良い Excellent natural hot springs
噂通りとても良い！
広くはないですが、露天を合わせた３種類のお湯があり、外の新緑景色が見えて本当に気持ち良い白濁のお湯でした。
温度は少し熱めです。
そして写真のこの温泉後のリラックスエリアが最高。ゆったりしてしまいました
リノベーションされた館「森のレジデンス」の方には、天然露天温泉付きのお部屋もあるとのこと。それもいいなあ。お部屋付の露天風呂で温泉って珍しいよね。
ちなみにお部屋にも天然温泉水が用意されていました。
先月末に行ったグランドハイアット東京では子供はNGだったので、今回はどうかと心配しましたが、ホテルの方のおっしゃる通り大丈夫でした。
QRコードで混み具合を事前チェックできます。他にもお子さんいらっしゃいました。
The rumors were true; the hot springs were very good! Although not large in size, there were three types of hot springs, including an open-air bath, and the white, cloudy hot water was truly refreshing with a view of the lush green scenery outside. The temperature was slightly hot. The relaxation area after the hot springs was fantastic; I felt completely relaxed. I heard that there are rooms in the renovated building called “Mori no Residence” with private open-air baths attached. That sounds great too. It’s unusual to have hot springs in your own room. By the way, natural hot spring water was also provided in the room.
When we stayed at the Grand Hyatt Tokyo at the end of last month, children were not allowed in the hot springs, so I was worried about it this time. However, as the hotel staff assured me, it was perfectly fine. You can check the crowd level in advance using a QR code. There were other families with children as well.
朝食が美味しい、景色がいい Delicious breakfast with a great view
私たちは素泊まりプランにしたので、朝ごはんを別につけました。
レビューで、フレンチディナーは美味しいけど小さい子供が騒げない雰囲気、とあったので、今回は遠慮。同じレストラン「ラフォーレ」での朝食は、とっても満足いくものでした！
まず７：３０のオープン直ぐに行ったら、窓席を通していただき。
We opted for a room-only plan, so we added breakfast separately. In the reviews, it was mentioned that the French dinner was delicious but not suitable for young children due to the atmosphere, so we decided to refrain from it this time. However, breakfast at the same restaurant, “La Foret,” was very satisfying! We arrived just after it opened at 7:30 and were seated by the window.
娘にもハイチェアをご用意いただきました。子供用のプラスチックお皿などはないものの、小さいお皿とシルバーウェアをいただきました。
They also provided a high chair for my daughter. Although there were no plastic plates specifically for children, we were given small plates and silverware.
アメリカンの中の、フレンチトーストをいただきました。これが美味しかった！
I had the French toast from the American-style breakfast, and it was delicious!
夫は味噌ベーコンと、温泉卵。そして映っていませんが雑穀のお粥が食べ応えあり。しかもおかわり！
バイキングではなかったものの、このおかげでお腹が膨れました。
My husband had miso bacon, onsen tamago (hot spring egg), and although not shown in the picture, the mixed grain rice porridge was substantial and we could have seconds! It wasn’t a buffet, but thanks to this, we were quite full.
大満足な朝ごはんでした。I am so satisfied!
特に子供向けを謳っていないけど、全ての人に対して丁寧 Not specifically advertised for children, but attentive to everyone
子供が温泉に入れるか？→入れる。ホテル内子供NGな場所はない。
レストランにはハイチェアがあるか？→あり。カラトリはなし。
ベッドは？→ベビーベッドはお金が別途かかるが、セミダブルで壁につけてあるため、添い寝でよければベッドガードをつけてくれる。
Even after thoroughly searching through blogs, Instagram, and reviews, there were some things I couldn’t find out. Can children enter the hot springs? → Yes, they can. Are there high chairs in the restaurant? → Yes, there are, but no cutlery for children. What about beds? → Baby cots require an additional fee, but if you’re okay with co-sleeping, they will provide bed guards for the semi-double bed attached to the wall.
お部屋・建物は古いけど、綺麗にしてある The building is old but well-maintained
なんと開業60年以上経っているというこのホテル。所々に古さは正直感じられるけど、基本は丁寧に掃除してある感じ。前述のように温泉はリノベーションされてて本当綺麗。それ以外にも、別館はリノベ済み。
お部屋はストライプのベッド、カップやソファが可愛くて、思わず写真を撮りたくなります。ちなみに私たちはスタンダードツインという１Fのお部屋にエクストラベッドを一台入れてもらいました。
This hotel has been in operation for over 60 years. You can honestly feel its age in some areas, but overall, it is meticulously cleaned. The hot spring baths have been renovated and are truly beautiful. In addition, the annex has also been renovated.
The rooms are cute with striped beds, cups and sofas, and you can’t help but take pictures of them. By the way, we had a standard twin room on the first floor with one extra bed.

車を持たない我が家。箱根も公共交通機関で。
箱根ハイランドホテルは、強羅駅からバスで15分強。バスは20分−30分に一本くらいです。
妊娠後期に入る妊婦には、箱根の坂は結構きつかったので、この「目の前」というのは本当に助かりました。
ちなみにバス停で近くにポーラ美術館やガラスの森美術館があったので、それらとあわせていくのも良いなあと思いました。
We don’t own a car, so we rely on public transportation even in Hakone. Hakone Highland Hotel is about a 15-minute bus ride from Gora Station. Buses come about every 20 to 30 minutes. The hills in Hakone were quite challenging during the later stages of pregnancy, so the “right in front” bus stop was really helpful. By the way, there were Pola Museum of Art and Hakone Glass Forest Art Museum near the bus stop, so it would be nice to visit them together.

普通はホテルで、フレンチジャポネを頼むかと思いますが
うちみたいにディナーで子連れは遠慮しよう、という方へ。
こちらの箱根茶寮のスタッフさんは、お子さんがいらっしゃりとても優しかったです。
天ぷらそばも美味しかったのでおすすめ。
A 2-minute walk from the hotel, there is a soba restaurant called “Hakone Charyo,” which was delicious and baby-friendly. Usually, I would recommend ordering French-Japanese fusion cuisine at the hotel, but for those who, like us, hesitate to bring children to dinner, this restaurant is a good alternative. The staff at Hakone Charyo were very kind, and they have delicious tempura soba, so I recommend it.
お得に泊まるには How we found a Reasonable Price to stay
今回は楽天トラベルで、平日チェックアウト10時 というのを見つけてこれが本当にお得！びっくりするくらい。
素泊まりですが、朝ごはんもディナーも、普通にレストランで追加できるので、全箱根旅行者におすすめしたいくらいです。
This time, I found a 10:00 check-out time on weekdays at Rakuten Travel, which was a really good deal! I was so surprised. Although it is an overnight stay with no meal, breakfast and dinner can usually be added at the restaurant, so I would recommend it to all Hakone travelers.

まとめ
実は最初は５月にハイアットリージェンシー大阪・グランドハイアット東京と泊まったハイアットに箱根でも泊まろうとしていたのですが、強羅で検索しているとなんだかすごく評判の良い宿を発見。それが「箱根ハイランドホテル」でした。
暑すぎず寒すぎず雨も降らないという、梅雨中にしては奇跡のように天気にも恵まれ、とてもリラックスできました。実は箱根1日目動きすぎて、夜には前駆陣痛のようなものが起こり始めたのですが、それでもリラックスする環境だったので直ぐ治りました。
こんなにお得に大満足できるとは。母も喜んでくれて、純粋に楽しいホテルの思い出になりました。

We were blessed with great weather, not too hot, not too cold, and no rain, which is a miracle during the rainy season, and it was very relaxing. In fact, I moved so much on the first day in Hakone that I started having some kind of pre-contractions in the evening, but they soon went away because it was such a relaxing environment.
I didn’t know I could be so satisfied at such a great price. My mother was delighted and it was a genuinely enjoyable hotel memory.
