facebook社 Community Partnership teamでのお仕事を終えました

For over a year, I split my time between working with the Facebook (Meta) Partnership team and my main freelance work in community marketing consulting.

Last week, I officially wrapped up my time with the Facebook Community Partnerships team.

I truly loved the work—collaborating with inspiring community leaders and amazing teammates.
It was challenging at times since I was the only one based in Japan, which meant I had to take initiative for even the smallest actions. But that also gave me a sense of freedom. I traveled six times a year to meet with teammates and community leaders in places like Singapore, the U.S., Germany, and the UK. Each trip was filled with unforgettable moments and learnings.

I’m incredibly proud to have been part of such a dedicated team—one that genuinely serves community leaders from the heart. It was also a unique experience to work across seven different APAC markets.

On my last day, I received these beautiful flower bouquets, and they brought me to tears.
When I returned home, I already missed the lively global work chats that never stopped—even at night—or the online meetings that started at 11 PM or 7:30 AM. I miss the culture deeply, and I plan to write a blog post about it soon.

To all my teammates around the world—I’m so proud to have worked alongside people with such passion and dedication. I learned so much from the work culture, and I’ll share more in my next post. The gorgeous flowers from SG and our final team call truly touched my heart. Love you all! 😢

Thank you so much for being incredible partners! I learned so much from you and felt inspired every time I met you in 🇺🇸🇩🇪🇸🇬🇯🇵. You made me want to do more for my own community, LunchTrip, and even start something new.
That’s exactly why I’m stepping into my next challenge. I’m still on your side, ready to take action—so I can’t wait to share what’s next and get your advice!

Now, I’ve decided to take on a new challenge in life.
Life is long, and I know our paths will cross again someday.

Thank you for being such wonderful friends over the past year. I’ll miss you all dearly, and I’ll always carry these memories with me.

先週、facebookJapanでのCommunity Partnership Teamのお仕事を終了しました。
私は、もともとフリーランスのコミュニティマーケティングのお仕事をメインとしており、そこから誘っていただいてるので、週5を交渉して週の半分はこちらに、週の半分は従来通りのフリーで複数社のクライアントをコンサルするという形のお仕事の仕方をしてました。

公私でコミュニティ作りを過去10年くらいやってますが、キャリア市場一番グローバルに事業スケールの大きい会社で大きな規模のコミュニティ活動ができたこと、チーム立ち上げから間もなかったので、世界中のコミュニティリーダーを盛り上げスケールさせる様々な施策を一緒に作っていけたこと、本当に優秀で真剣なチームの中、アジアたった数人、日本で一人のチームの一員としてできたこと、アジア太平洋７カ国をみれたこと、本当に嬉しく、誇りに思います。

最終日にはSingaporeから花も届き、さよならコールがあり涙しました😭日本オフィスのみなさんにも素敵な花をいただきました。

What I did 　何をしたか

私がメインで行っていたプログラムは　Community Leadership Circles という、Facebookグループ管理者を世界中それぞれの都市での集めて、自分たちで進めてもらうプログラムです。

各都市で管理者のリーダーを決めて動いていく、問題があったらそれを解決する。

普通のことですが、という1年分の過程を実務で行えたの本当に良かった。

世界中のリーダーはそれぞれ面白い個性があるグループを運営していて、お話してて本当に面白い。

そのプログラム以外にも、もっとSocial Goodなコミュニティリーダーをもっと近くでメンタル的・金銭的・ビジネスプラン的に教育・支援するプログラムでも仕事しました。

What I miss　昼夜鳴り止まないワークチャットが鳴り止んで寂しい

世界中から昼夜鳴り止まないワークチャットも、夜中11時30分からや、朝７時半のオンラインミーティングも、なくなると一気に寂しいです。
でもその先にいる同僚たちと、もう毎日のようにSocial Chatもしなくなったこと、ちょっと寂しいです。

学び：忙しすぎて目が回ると「優先度低い仕事は受けない・とにかく量を減らす」になりがち

去年の今頃、クライアント持ちながら・FB仕事・かつNPOLunchTripでもアワード受賞など続いて、結構体力きつくて、毎日ランチを飛ばして夜中まで働いてたなーなんて思い出します。

在職中には６回海外出張（写真⬇️参考）にも行きました。出張が重なりすぎて、朝起きた時に自分が今いるタイムゾーンがわからなくなったこと、何度かあります。

今年になってからは婚約・入籍・妊娠・流産・義父母の来日とともに結婚式・新婚旅行などライフイベントも続き、とにかく「手持ちの仕事を減らす」事ばかり優先になってしまっていました。執筆も登壇も断る、なんなら新たなクライアントのご依頼が入ってきて断りのメールを作る時間ももったいないから、FBにもブログにも、仕事のことは投稿しなくなる。

フリーランスになったばっかりの頃は「仕事を増やそう」だったのに、いつの間にか「優先度つけて減らす」になってしまっていたんです。

優先度をつけるのは良いことですが、新たなことを行なうクリエイティブな時間はなかった。
