書き出してみて数えてみると,全18軒のホテルに４０泊ほど宿泊しました。
メインは日本国内、そして夏に滞在していたシアトル、ハワイホテルまで幅広く体験できました。
特に思い出深かったのは、3月の京都・４月の金沢巡りと、秋のハワイロングステイかな。
でも赤子の今だからこそ、都内のいろんなホテルに一泊ずつ泊まれたのもとても良かった。
とはいえ、前年の2023年は100泊くらいしたので、それに比べだいぶ減ってます（ドバイではホテル住まいでしたがシアトルでは自分たちの家にいるので、泊数は増えないのです）。
元々バックパッカー気質だった私は、なるべく文化や歴史、その土地、何より地元の人のことを知れる宿が好きです。
子供が生まれてから、安全で安心できるラグジュアリーホテルが良くなり、よく泊まっています。夫がマイルにハマったのも大きい。いつか子供達が大きくなったら一緒に冒険宿もいいかも？とも思います。
意外だと言われるのですが、ラグジュアリーホテルは基本的にどこも超キッズフレンドリー。全年齢のお客様に丁寧に接してくれるので、ベビーベッドやキッズチェア、アメニティの心配はまずありません。
もちろん上記の中でも特におすすめのキッズルーム付き、プールめちゃ良い、朝食が絶品、景色が最高、部屋が最高、目の前に大きな遊具の公園などそれぞれいいところがあるので、またそれもまとめたいなと思います。

小さい子連れでここまでラグジュアリーホテルに趣味で泊まってる家族は珍しいと我ながら思います。
ベースは日本、夏に３−4ヶ月アメリカ、1ヶ月以上それ以外の国、という生活を今年もする予定。
どうやってるの？とよく聞かれるので、それも記事にしたいな。

I’ve compiled a list of the luxury hotels I stayed at in 2024. I stayed at around 18 hotels, totaling about 40 nights. The majority were within Japan, with additional stays in Seattle and Hawaii during the summer, giving me a diverse range of experiences. The most memorable stays were in Kyoto in March, Kanazawa in April, and the autumn long stay in Hawaii.

Summary
By writing it out, I realized that I’ve stayed at about 40 nights in 18 different hotels.
I think it’s quite rare for a family with small children to stay at luxury hotels this much for fun, even I’m surprised by it.
The main focus was on Japan, but I also had the opportunity to experience a wide range of hotels in Seattle and Hawaii during the summer.
What stands out the most for me are the trips to Kyoto in March, Kanazawa in April, and the long stay in Hawaii during the fall.
But having a baby now, it’s been really great to stay one night at various hotels around Tokyo.
That said, in 2023, I stayed about 100 nights, so it’s quite a reduction compared to that (In Dubai, we were living in a hotel, but in Seattle, we stayed in our own home, so the number of nights didn’t increase).
Originally, as a backpacker, I love staying at places where I can learn about the culture, history, the area, and, most importantly, the local people.
Since having children, we’ve started preferring luxury hotels that are safe and reassuring, and we often stay at them. But once our children grow older, I might consider adventurous accommodations again.
It may surprise people, but luxury hotels are generally very kid-friendly. They treat guests of all ages with care, so there’s no need to worry about things like baby beds, kids’ chairs, or amenities.
Of course, among these hotels, there are some particularly recommendable ones with kids’ rooms, pools, amazing breakfasts, great views, and top-notch rooms. I’d love to summarize those as well.

And in the meantime, the next trip is approaching! It’s a happy problem. I’ll be traveling a lot in 2025!
