日本に帰国して９月末、沖縄に行ってきました。沖縄は人生で５回目、でも子連れでの沖縄旅行は初めてです。
沖縄って実は広くて、素敵なホテルがたっくさんありますよね。2歳と4歳の小さな子どもを連れて、あまり運転しない夫婦となると、ホテル選びが大事。
今回は「沖縄プリンスホテル オーシャンビューぎのわん」に泊まり、大正解でした。
その理由を余すところなくお伝えします。
I’ve been getting questions about Okinawa a lot recently. So I went with my family to answer! I have been there many times before kidsm but planning a family trip to Okinawa with toddlers can feel overwhelming. Okinawa is much larger than most people expect, and while there are countless luxury resorts, not every hotel is designed with families in mind.
For parents traveling with young children — in our case a 2-year-old and a 4-year-old — the choice of hotel makes all the difference. We stayed at Okinawa Prince Hotel Ocean View Ginowan, and it turned out to be one of the best family-friendly hotels in Okinawa. Here’s a detailed review of why it’s perfect for parents with little kids.
「水遊びオムツOK」のインフィニティプール Swim-Diaper Friendly Infinity Pool
幼児連れのホテル選びで最大の壁となるのが、実は「プール問題」。多くのリゾートホテルが、衛生管理を理由に「水遊び用オムツ」であっても利用を禁止しているケースが多いんです。
インフィニティプール！ホテルの顔とも言えて、うちが一番お世話になったのが、海と空が一体化する絶景のインフィニティプール。2階と、クラブフロア用の14階にあります。この素敵なプールが私たちのメインプールでした。特にスライドなどはないですが、膝下の浅いエリアも多く水遊び用おむつの着用できたのは良かった。ちなみに午前は日陰なのでアジア人が多く、午後は日焼けしたい欧米人、そして夕方日陰になるとまたアジア人が多いです。日焼けに関する文化の違いが見れて、楽しいですね。そうです、うちは朝昼晩と、滞在中なんども何度も行きました。それくらい、子供たちのお気に入りプールでした。
2階スパエリア＆屋内プール：屋内なので天候に左右されずにいつでも遊べます。同じエリアには大浴場やサウナ、水着で入れる岩盤浴まで完備されていて、親が交代でリフレッシュする時間も持てます。
If you’re traveling to Okinawa with toddlers, the biggest challenge is often the pool policy. Many Okinawa resorts do not allow children in swim diapers, even in water-play diapers
That’s why the infinity pool at Okinawa Prince Hotel was such a relief. The breathtaking pool merges with the sea and sky, and toddlers in swim diapers are welcome. There are plenty of shallow sections safe for kids, and we ended up visiting multiple times every day.
The hotel also has an indoor pool and spa area with a sauna, large baths, and even a stone spa you can enter in swimwear. Parents can take turns relaxing while kids enjoy the water.
お部屋は全室オーシャンビューで景色最高！All Rooms Have Ocean Views
独身の時は、部屋は綺麗で泊まれれば良いという感じでしたが、子連れとなるとホテル内で過ごす時間も結構あるので、部屋の過ごしやすさってすごく大事！
このホテルの最大の魅力の一つは、340室ある全客室がオーシャンビューであること。バルコニーからは、宜野湾マリーナに停泊するヨットと、どこまでも続く東シナ海の青いグラデーションが一望できます。
実際、初日の夕飯は、近所のスーパー沖縄ご飯を買い出して部屋で食べました。なんて素敵なサンセットレストラン！最高に贅沢なリゾート時間でした。
また、翌日は部屋が６階から13階に変わったのですが、リクエストした踏み台も用意されてました。子どもが自分で手を洗ったりできるだけで、親の負担がぐっと減ります。スタッフの方みんな優しく、ミキハウス子育て総研の「ウェルカムベビーのお宿」に認定されているのも納得の対応力でした。
部屋はリノベーションされたようで、綺麗なだけではなくて、電源がここかしかにあるのも良い。
Another highlight of this Okinawa family hotel is that all 340 rooms are ocean-facing. From the balcony, you can enjoy panoramic views of Ginowan Marina and the East China Sea.
For families who spend more time inside the room with kids, having a comfortable and scenic space is essential. We loved dining in our room while watching the sunset, and the staff even provided a step stool so our kids could wash their hands on their own.
This thoughtful hospitality earned the hotel certification as a “Welcome Baby Hotel” in Japan, making it one of the most toddler-friendly resorts in Okinawa.
アクセスが楽 Easy Access
直行のバスがあります。本数が限られるので、タイミングが合わなくても徒歩５−６分のところに着くバスがあり、中が広くて綺麗で、とても快適！！
The hotel is about 30 minutes by car from Naha Airport. There’s also a direct limousine bus, and even if you miss it, another bus stop is only a 5–6 minute walk away. Transportation was smooth and stress-free
キッズルーム Kidsroom
子供が小さいうちは、キッズルームはあるに越したことがない。タイのプーケットに旅した時最高のキッズルームでの経験から、なるべくキッズルームがあるホテルを選んでいます。
このホテルは1階のロビーのすぐ隣にあったので寄るのが楽で、チェックインやアウト時や出発前後に気軽に立ち寄れたのでとても良かったです。朝8時から夜8時まで空いているのも良い。
正直、おもちゃがなくて飽きるかな？と思ったのですが、二人ともこの木のおもちゃと絵本だけで大喜びでした。TVもあるしね。日本だけでなく、中国や韓国の子供たちとの交流もありました。
Traveling with toddlers is much easier when the hotel has a kids’ playroom. The kids’ room at Okinawa Prince Hotel Ginowan is open daily from 8am to 8pm and is conveniently located right next to the lobby.
Our kids loved the wooden toys and picture books, and we even met families from Korea, China, and Japan. It was the perfect spot to keep kids entertained during check-in, checkout, or while waiting for transportation.
館内のランドリー設備 Laundry Facilities for Families
子連れ旅行、特にビーチリゾートでは洗濯物が増えるので、2階のスパエリア近くに24時間利用可能なランドリールームがあります。洗濯乾燥機が複数台設置されてあります。夜寝た後は混んでたので、夫が朝早く起きて洗濯してくれました。おかげで、例によって家族四人分はいつも通りボストンバッグひとつで5泊6日旅できました。
Beach vacations always come with piles of laundry. Thankfully, the hotel has a 24-hour laundry room near the spa area with multiple washer-dryers. This made our 6-day family trip manageable with just one suitcase.
周辺エリアもローカルの魅力満載
トロピカルビーチ Tropical Beach (10 minutes on foot)
ホテルから歩いて10分ほど。本当に最高で、ここに朝イチ来た時、夫婦で「もうハワイ行かなくていいか」と話したほど。笑
観光客でごった返す有名ビーチとは違い、地元の人々に愛される穏やかな場所で、気取ったところがなくリラックスできる空気が流れています。
おじさん方がランニングしてたりね。
最初は朝７時朝食前に行って、砂遊びして足をパシャパシャしました。サンセットも行きましたが混みすぎることなくとても良かった。
遠浅で波も穏やかなので、小さな子どもが遊ぶのにも安心安全でした。
This beach was a hidden gem. Unlike crowded tourist beaches, Tropical Beach is calm, local, and perfect for young children thanks to its shallow waters. We visited both in the morning and at sunset, and it never felt overcrowded.
遊具の公園が豊富！Playgrounds and Parks
車で少し足を延せば、巨大な海賊船の遊具がある「アラハ公園」も最高でした。アラハビーチの目の前にあり、こんなに大きな海賊船があるとは！なんとこれ、イギリスの船がこの地に辿り着いたことがあり、その時の船を模型にしてるそうです。すごいよね。
その他にも徒歩７分以内に二つも遊具のある公園があり、朝イチ行きました。

トロピカルビーチを含む広大な「ぎのわん海浜公園」には、芝生の広場や遊具があります。
次回は、地元の方におすすめされた、年齢別にエリアが分かれた遊具たくさんの公園「浦添大公園」も行きたいなと思ってます。
Families will love Araha Park, with its giant pirate ship playground, as well as Ginowan Seaside Park, which has wide lawns and multiple play areas. Okinawa offers plenty of outdoor spaces where toddlers can burn energy safely.
スーパー 「サンエー」 Local Supermarket in 5min walk.
ホテルの近くにコンビニはありませんが、徒歩5分の距離にある大型スーパーマーケット「サンエー 宜野湾コンベンションシティ」があります。初日は疲れていたので、このスーパーでいろいろ沖縄料理の買い物をして夕飯をホテルで食べました。沖縄ならではのお菓子などをリーズナブルに購入できて最高。
Perfect for grabbing Okinawan snacks, bento meals, or daily necessities for kids. Lots of Okinawa local foods too.
朝食ビュッフェ＠「オールデイダイニング ジノーン」Breakfast Buffet at All Day Dining Jinon
レストラン「オールデイダイニング ジノーン」は開放的で明るい雰囲気。ビュッフェ台には、色鮮やかなスムージー、シェフが目の前で作ってくれるオムレツ（沖縄らしくスパム入りも！）、ゴーヤチャンプルーや沖縄炊き込みご飯ジューシー、自分で作れるタコライスなどの郷土料理が並びます。沖縄そばとアサイージュースが特においしかった！パンケーキやフレンチトースト、というメニューも数々。
周りを見ると中国人、韓国人の家族もたくさん。日本人も家族連れが多い。ひとテーブルごとにちゃんとスペースがあるので狭くなく、みなさん上品な雰囲気でした。１日ではメニューを食べきれず、2泊して良かった！と思いました。
そういえば沖縄料理が美味しくないとかいう人もいるけど、多分選ぶレストランが悪いんだよそれ、と思ってます。私は２ヶ月滞在も含め過去４回も沖縄に来てるけど、毎回美味しい記憶しかない。
The hotel’s main restaurant offers one of the most family-friendly breakfast buffets in Okinawa. Guests can enjoy:

By the way, some Japanese do not like Okinawa foods, but I insist they are not choosing the right place to eat. This my 5th time in Okinawa including 2 months of stay, and it has always been really tasty.
温かいおもてなし Warm and Thoughtful Service
化粧水などがついてないなと思ってお願いしたらクラブフロア宿泊者向けなんですが、もちろんどうぞ〜と言ってアメニティセットをくれました。コテも貸してくれました。ありがたい〜！
When we asked about skincare amenities, the staff kindly offered us a premium set usually reserved for club-floor guests. Small gestures like providing step stools for kids or going the extra mile with amenities make this hotel stand out as one of the best hotels in Okinawa for families with toddlers.

というわけで、沖縄プリンスホテル オーシャンビューぎのわんは、期待を上回るホテルでした。
オムツOKのインフィニティプール、キッズルーム、そして空港からのアクセスも良いのに程よくローカルで、めっちゃ綺麗なビーチや大型スーパーが近くにある立地。
３世代や２世代の家族連れも目立ちましたが、それ以外にも、カップルや友達グループでサウナ旅行などしている若い人たちもいました。宜野湾は拠点としてもとても良いので、アクティブにドライブでいろいろと沖縄巡りする人たちにも向いてるなと思いました。アメリカンビレッジなども近いしね！
