Hello from a mama who just returned from a family trip to Fukuoka! This time, we stayed at the Grand Hyatt Fukuoka, and I’m here to spill the tea (and maybe some toddler snacks) on what it’s really like staying here with little ones in tow. From room size to baby gear, and how we scored the stay at a steal — I’ve got you covered!

アクセス Location, Location, Location
グランドハイアット福岡は、福岡市の中心部、キャナルシティ博多のすぐお隣です。地下鉄祇園駅から歩いて約5分、博多駅からも徒歩15分くらい。福岡、空港が本当に中心地に近くてそれが便利ですよね。
中州の繁華街やキャナルシティまですぐ近くで、ショッピングもグルメも便利です。特にキャナルシティは屋内施設が多いから、雨の日でも子供と一緒に楽しめるのは嬉しいポイント！
タクシーなら福岡空港から約20分、博多駅からは約5分です。
The Grand Hyatt is right in the heart of Fukuoka, tucked next to Canal City Hakata, the mega shopping and entertainment complex. It’s about a 5-minute walk from Gion Station and 15 minutes from Hakata Station.
The best part? Fukuoka Airport is super close to downtown, which makes traveling with kids a whole lot easier. Shopping, food, and city exploring — it’s all walkable. And since Canal City is mostly indoors, it’s a win even on rainy days.
By taxi:
– Fukuoka Airport to hotel: ~20 minutes
– Hakata Station to hotel: ~5 minutes
お部屋 The Room – Deluxe with Kids? Yes, Please!
今回泊まったのはデラックスルーム。
広さ約42㎡で、3歳と1歳の子供たちが走り回れるスペース十分！
ベッドはキングサイズで家族4人でもゆったり。ホテルにベビーベッドをお願いしたら、すでに用意してくれてました。子供用のアメニティもいただいたし、ベッドガードもついてるし。子供への気配り感じます。
窓からの眺め最高！福岡の中州を見下ろし街並みが一望できます。
でも、建物自体は1996年開業。部分的にリノベーションされてるけど、ちょっと古さは否めないかな。六本木のグランドハイアットが2003年開業なので、似てるけれどそれよりも少し古い感じです。
We stayed in a Deluxe Room, and it was a dream for families. At 42㎡, it gave our 3-year-old and 1-year-old plenty of room to run wild (safely, of course).
- King-sized bed = perfect for co-sleeping (hello, snuggle pile)
- Baby crib? Already set up when we arrived 🙌
- Bed guard and kid amenities provided
- Big windows with a sweeping city view over Nakasu
Yes, the hotel is a bit older (built in 1996), and it shows in a few spots. It’s been partially renovated, but you’ll still feel some “retro Hyatt vibes.” Think: Roppongi Grand Hyatt’s older cousin.
ラウンジ
グランドクラブラウンジ、子連れでも大丈夫な空間です。朝・昼・夜と時間帯によってサービス内容が変わります。
朝食（6:30〜10:30）Breakfast
子供用の食器や椅子あり！和洋中のバラエティ豊かなブッフェで、3歳1歳もルーツとヨーグルト、モリモリ食べました。海鮮丼もあり、和食もかなり充実してます。もちろんアメリカンな朝食は全てあります。ハイアット系はパンがどこもすんごく美味しく、こちらのクロワッサンももちろん美味しかった。
またすぐ外に遊べるお庭があるのも助かりました。何度も通いました。
ティータイム（14:00〜16:00）Afternoon Tea time
この時間は基本外にいてあまり使わなかったけれど美味しい軽食、ドリンクが充実。子供向けのジュースもあって、午後のおやつタイムにパッと寄るのにぴったり。
We didn’t use it much because were outside during this time, but they have a wide selection of delicious snacks and drinks. They also have juices for kids, so it’s perfect for a quick afternoon snack.
カクテルタイム（17:30〜19:30）Cocktail Time
軽食とお酒、ソフトドリンクなのですが、軽食とは言えないほどかなりの充実度で夜ご飯は毎晩ここで結局食べました。子供メニューは特になかったけど、このサラダに明太子をつけるのが子供達に好評。子連れの外食何度も1日に行くのは何度も行くのは疲れるのでホテルで済ませるのが楽だなと思います。まあ、結局美味しくて長居してましたが。
アルコールには黒霧島などの地元の焼酎もあり、私が毎晩飲んでたノンアルコールのワインもすごく美味しかったー！
ちなみに、毎日同じ時間にラウンジを利用していたら、隣の席に同じ韓国人の姉妹家族がいて、子供同士が言葉は通じないものの仲良くなり、交流が。国際交流ができました。

あと、スタッフの方がすごく親切で、柳川に行く予定だと別のスタッフと話していたら「実家が近いんです」と近づいてきださった方が、穴場スポットを教えてくれたり。他にも子連れで行ける場所について聞いたときも、「ちょっと待ってください」と一度席を外して、同僚に確認して戻ってきてくれました。
We had lounge access, and it was totally fine to bring kids. Here’s the scoop by time of day:
🍳 Breakfast (6:30–10:30 AM)
A full buffet with Japanese, Western, and even some Chinese options. Our kids went to town on fruit, yogurt, and bread. The seafood bowl was a surprise hit with the grown-ups! And yes — Hyatt’s famous croissants were chef’s kiss.
There’s also a little garden right outside — perfect for post-breakfast wiggles!
☕ Afternoon Tea (2:00–4:00 PM)
We didn’t use it much since we were out and about, but it looked great! Snacks, sweets, and drinks — including juice for kids. Ideal for a quick pit stop if you’re hotel-bound in the afternoon.
🍷 Cocktail Time (5:30–7:30 PM)
We lived for this. Technically light bites, but honestly? We had dinner here every night. No kids’ menu, but there was enough variety (and yes, our kids dipped salad in spicy mentaiko… and loved it 😂).
They served local shochu like Kurokirishima, and I fell in love with the non-alcoholic wine. So good.
Bonus: We met a lovely Korean family here nightly, and the kids somehow made friends without speaking the same language. So sweet!

レストラン
今回はラウンジがあったので特に利用しませんでしたが、館内のレストラン、バーいくつかあります。レストラン「マーケットエフ」の料理が毎日ラウンジに出ていましたが（スタッフに確認しました）、本当にとても美味しかった！
プール
ホテル4階の「クラブ オリンパス」には、ジムやスパ、プールがあり、宿泊者は無料で利用できます。しかし！！プールの利用は通常18歳以上からで、土日祝日の10:00～17:00の時間帯に限り、7歳以上かつ身長120cm以上の子どもが利用可能です。（完全予約制で、1レーンを最大60分まで利用可能）
というわけで、小さな子どもには利用が難しい点が残念ポイント！ホテルのスタッフに聞いてみたら、1996年建築で、当時の基準で作られたプールは深さがあって、安全面から子供NGになったそうです。これ、20年以上前に建てられたハイアットホテル共通の特徴らしいです。
キッズサービス
フロントで子供用アメニティをリクエストできます。チェックイン時には子供向けの小さなプレゼントも！娘たちもテンション爆上がりでした。
🍴 Restaurants
We didn’t eat in the hotel restaurants this time, but the food served in the lounge came from Market F, and it was top-tier. So if you’re not staying with lounge access, consider dining in at least once!
🏊♀️ Pool
Okay, this one’s a bit of a bummer. The pool is beautiful but only for adults and older kids. Specifically:
- Ages 7+ and 120cm+
- Only on weekends and holidays from 10:00–17:00
- Must book in advance for a 60-minute slot
Basically, our toddlers were out of luck. Apparently, it’s due to the depth of the pool — a design decision from when it opened in 1996.
🎁 Kid-Friendly Touches
You can request kids’ amenities at check-in, and they even gave our girls a cute little welcome gift. Cue happy squeals!

館内はもちろんベビーカー移動もラクラクですしエレベーターも広々。オムツ替えスペースはラウンジ階はないものの一階にもあから安心です。
スタッフ・サービス
あと、スタッフの方がすごく親切で、柳川に行く予定だと別のスタッフと話していたら「実家が近いんです」と近づいてきださった方が、穴場スポットを教えてくれたり。他にも子連れで行ける場所について聞いたときも、「ちょっと待ってください」と一度席を外して、同僚に確認して戻ってきてくれました。
またフロント近くにいたフランス人の背の高いスタッフさんと何度かお話しました。とても優しい人で色々福岡のこと、暮らしのことも教えてくれました。
周辺環境
キャナルシティ博多がすぐ隣なので、噴水ショーは子供たち大興奮でした。
中州川端商店街も歩いて行ける距離。地元の食材や雑貨を見るのも楽しい。中洲の屋台も近いけど、小さい子連れだとちょっと夜にこの屋外では厳しい。でも雰囲気を感じるだけでも◎なので、散歩で見られたのは良かったです。詳しくはこちらにまとめました
What’s Around?
Right next door is Canal City Hakata, home to shops, restaurants, and… the famous dancing fountain show! Our kids were mesmerized.
We also walked to Nakasu Kawabata Shopping Street — full of local goodies and a fun local vibe. The yatai (street food stalls) of Nakasu are nearby, too, but might be a bit much for littles at night. We enjoyed the festive feel during our evening stroll.

Yep, we used hotel points again!
A regular night at the Grand Hyatt Fukuoka can cost ¥50,000+ on weekdays and over ¥80,000 on weekends — still cheaper than Tokyo hyatt hotels, but ouch! With points, we paid a fraction of that.

今回の滞在でもホテルポイントを利用しました。なので、現金だと一泊朝食付きで平日は5万円、土日は8万円を超えてしまいますが（それでも都内の半分くらいだけど）ポイントで泊まると、半額どころか3分の１以下で泊まれます。

3歳1歳連れての滞在でしたが、おいしさ、立地の良さとスタッフの対応の素晴らしさで大満足！プールが使えないのは残念だけど、中心地なので特に必要なしでした。サービスはもちろん満足ですし、子連れ旅行にもぜひおすすめしたいホテル。ハイアットはホテルポイント使えば本当にお得に泊まれるので、ぜひ活用してね！

- Building is a bit dated
- Pool isn’t toddler-friendly
We stayed here with our 3-year-old and 1-year-old and honestly? It was a win. While we didn’t get to use the pool, the central location made up for it. I’d absolutely recommend it for families, especially if you can score a points stay.
