こんにちは！普段は全国通訳案内士として、二人の幼児を連れた母として家族で年間100日くらい旅をしていますAmiです。
今回は2026年冬、アメリカから義父母も呼んで中東（アラブ首長国連邦とカタール）１ヶ月弱の旅。
アブダビでは２週間弱滞在。スイートルームだけ、なんと５つものホテル（下記）に泊まりました。まずはサアディヤット島の楽園、パークハイアット・アブダビからお届けします。
第一弾パークハイアット/第二弾グランドハイアット/リッツカールトン/アンダーズ/ロタナ
アブダビでのスイート連泊の記録、第2弾はザ・リッツ・カールトン・アブダビ グランドカナル。
ベネチアをモチーフにした美しい建築の向こう側に、真っ白なシェイク・ザイード・グランド・モスクがそびえ立つ。これぞアラブ首長国連邦という、豪華でエキゾチックな雰囲気を味わえる場所！
ホテルの入り口では、わあと思わず声が出てしまう金ピカなシャンデリアに、素敵な伝統衣装に身を包んだスタッフがデーツを配って迎えてくれました。
キャラメル入りやチョコがけなど種類も豊富。中東においてデーツは、砂漠の過酷な環境を生き抜くための「生命の果実」であり、客人をもてなす精神の象徴。この一粒で、一気にアラブの世界へ引き込まれます。
スイートルーム：diptyqueの香りと窓の外見て爆笑
今回滞在したスイートルームは、重厚感のあるインテリアが印象的。アメニティは大阪のリッツ・カールトンと同じくdiptyqueのソープ。この香りに包まれるだけで旅の疲れが癒されます。
お部屋からの眺めも期待してカーテンを開けたら、まさかの絶賛工事中で思わず笑ってしまいました。これもまた、常に進化し続けるアブダビらしい光景。ちなみに敷地が広すぎて、少し散歩をしただけでヴィラが立ち並ぶ別の街に迷い込んだような感覚になるほど。スケールがとにかく桁違いです。
キッズルーム：最大の広さに、水遊びも公園もあり！
子連れ旅の視点で、リッツが他のホテルを圧倒しているのがキッズルーム。アブダビでしっかり子供を預けられるドロップオフ施設があるのはパークハイアットとここくらいですが、広さはここが格別。
室内だけでなく、水が出て外でも遊べる公園のようなエリアもあり、「正直プールもいいけれど、幼児はここだけでも充分じゃない？」という盛り上がりっぷり。しかもこれだけ広いのに、ゆったり空いているのが贅沢なポイント。
うちは下がまだ小さいので二人同時に預けることはできず、夫が残り、私が一人で敷地内を散歩することに。その際、スタッフの人たちが「ゆっくりしてきてくださいね、普段お母様はなかなか大変だろうから」と声をかけてくれて。その温かい気遣いに、ここは本当に優しい天国！と感激しました。
夜8時のアジア料理と2,800円のお味噌汁
夜はライトアップされたグランド・モスクを観光した後、夜8時近くにホテルへ戻りました。子供たちはもう眠さの限界。スピード重視で、ホテル内のアジア料理レストラン「Li Jiang（リ・ジャン）」へ駆け込みました。
メニューを見て驚いたのが、お味噌汁が一杯約2,800円だったこと。さすがリッツ価格。子供たちもお米に帰りたくなっていたので、お寿司とパッタイを注文。去年、冬に3週間タイに滞在していたので、子供たちはタイ料理を食べ慣れていてバクバク完食。そして食べ終わった瞬間に次女は爆睡でした。私はキャビアが乗ったお刺身を食べて大喜び。慌ただしくも、リッツらしい華やかなディナーになりました。
朝食での夫「一番美しくて、かつ美味しい！」
リッツカールトンの朝食で驚いたのは、その丁寧なサービス。席に案内される際「ここは初めてです」と伝えると、スタッフの方がビュッフェのラインナップを一周紹介してくれました。今回5つのホテルを巡りましたが、朝食の丁寧な案内はこのホテルだけ。
ホテル朝食ビュッフェが大好きな夫が、運ばれてきたエッグベネディクトを見て「このアブダビ滞在中で間違いなく一番美しくて、かつ美味しい！」と絶賛。見た目の華やかさはもちろん、味も一級品。ケーキのクオリティも非常に高く、ついつい手が伸びてしまいました。
お腹いっぱいになって、ああお腹が貯金箱みたいに貯められたらいいのに、、と毎日思ってました。

For the second part of my Abu Dhabi suite tour: The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal. With Venetian-inspired architecture and the stunning view of the white Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, this place is the definition of Arabian luxury.
At the entrance, staff in beautiful traditional attire welcome you with dates—the “Fruit of Life” in the Middle East. From caramel-filled to chocolate-covered, the variety is amazing. It’s the perfect introduction to the spirit of Arabian hospitality.
“The Most Beautiful and Delicious” Eggs Benedict
The breakfast service here is exceptional. Upon hearing it was our first visit, the staff gave us a full guided tour of the buffet stations. Out of five luxury hotels we visited, this was the only one that offered such a personal touch.
My husband, who lives for hotel breakfast buffets, was mesmerized by the Eggs Benedict, calling it “the most beautiful and delicious” he’d ever had. The pastry quality was also top-tier—even for a bread lover like me!
The Suite Life & The “Construction” Surprise
The suite was spacious with elegant interiors and diptyque bath amenities, just like at The Ritz-Carlton Osaka. However, when I opened the curtains to see the view, I had to laugh—it was a full-on construction site! It felt very “Abu Dhabi,” a city that never stops growing. The property is so vast that a short walk feels like wandering into a separate village of villas. The scale is just off the charts.
A Kids’ Club That Beats the Pool?
The Ritz-Carlton sets the gold standard for kids’ facilities in Abu Dhabi. While drop-off services are rare, this kids’ club is massive. With an outdoor playground and water features, it’s so fun that toddlers might prefer it over the pool. Best of all, it’s so spacious that it never feels crowded.
Since my youngest is still too small for solo drop-off, my husband stayed with her while I explored the grounds. The staff were incredibly kind, saying, “Please, take your time and relax. We know how hard mothers work every day.” It truly felt like a paradise of hospitality.
A $19 Miso Soup & A Quick Asian Dinner
After visiting the Grand Mosque, we returned to the hotel around 8 PM. The kids were at their limit, so we rushed to “Li Jiang,” the hotel’s Asian restaurant. I was shocked to see miso soup priced at about $19 (2,800 yen)! That’s the Ritz for you.
The kids were craving rice, so we ordered sushi and Pad Thai. Since we spent three weeks in Thailand last winter, the kids are pros at eating Thai food and devoured it. My youngest fell into a deep sleep the second she finished. I was thrilled with my sashimi topped with caviar—a chaotic but luxurious end to the day.

- Flight Time: 12 hours from Tokyo / 16+ hours from Seattle (SEA).
- Access: Free shuttle to the Grand Mosque is available but only runs about 3 times a day.
