こんにちは！全国通訳案内士で、二人の幼児を含む家族で年100日旅するAmiです。
今回は2026年冬、アメリカから義父母も呼んで中東（アラブ首長国連邦とカタール）１ヶ月弱の旅。
アブダビでは２週間弱滞在。スイートルームだけ、なんと５つものホテル（下記）に泊まりました。まずはサアディヤット島の楽園、パークハイアット・アブダビからお届けします。
パークハイアット/グランドハイアット/リッツカールトン/アンダーズ/ロタナ
旅行者にとって、というか親にとっては、こどもがハッピーであれば大体のことはハッピーになる。 なので、高付加価値サービス提供者にとって、子供を優先するのは理にかなっている。
これを感じたのはパークハイアットアブダビ。 総じて、何人のスタッフが我が子二人に話しかけてくれたことだろう。
ホテルにチェックインすると同時に、Tibbyと名前がついた、地元の動物ガゼルのぬいぐるみをもらった。 これ以降、二人の旅の相棒になった。なんと野生のガゼルはこの敷地内にも現れるらしい。子供二人は会いたい！とやる気だった。
朝食での子供を気にかけてもらえることの嬉しさ
建築美の中でいただく、ホスピタリティ溢れる朝食 ここの朝食会場は、素晴らしい建築デザインの中に新鮮で豪華なビュッフェが並び、座っているだけで背筋が伸びるような空間。でも、サービスは驚くほどフレンドリーで温かいんです。 子連れの私たちにスタッフの方が何度も声をかけてくださり、娘たちに特別なマンゴーを振る舞ってくれたり、次女には温かいミルクを用意してくれたり。ラグジュアリーホテルでありながら、家族の体温を感じるような気配りが本当に嬉しかったです。
朝食のビュッフェはデザインが美しすぎるレストラン 外はビーチがありリゾートなのに、レストランの中は黒と白が映えている。 壮大な雰囲気で、食事のおいしさはもう異常なほど。 カジュアルな接客というよりも、店員さんが最初から真っ直ぐ目を見て案内をしてくれて 私はいつもヘーゼルナッツオーツラテ、夫分のカフェラテ、上の娘用の冷たい牛乳と、下の娘用の温かいミルクを頼む。 ホテルによっては忘れられることもあるんだけれど、こちらはもちろん忘れることなく、何度もケアしてくれた
何度もスタッフが来てくれてサポートしてくれる。 マンゴー好き？と言って、特別にマンゴーをむいて持ってきてくれたり 次女の好きなくるみやブドウ、ビュッフェには出てないのに特別に出してくれたり。 子供に慣れてるねありがとう! というと 「実家はインドなんだけれど、姪っ子が二人いて3歳と1歳なんだ。１ヶ月の休みずっと一緒に過ごしたよ」と言ってくれるスタッフも。
もし日本でレストランとの店員さんだったら、こんなに１家族に時間を使って！と怒られないか心配になるくらいだけど 、結局人が高付加価値に感じるのってこういう人間同士の瞬間で、別に素敵な景色や施設だけじゃないのです。
ただ、パークハイアットは広さがすごくて、奥の方までパンの部屋がありこの大食いの私でも辿り着きませんでした。 ハイアット系のパンに全信頼を置いている私としては残念でならぬ、、
キッズクラブ
子供にとっての天国！ Welsunさんという素敵なフィリピンじんスタッフがいて、預けることもできるキッズクラブ。 ロシア人とスウェーデン人の子供がいて 私たちの子供も、工作などして遊んでもらった。 おもちゃが無限にあり、公園もついてた。 こんな広い場所に子供が多くて４人、スタッフが２人だけで、とっても贅沢な時間だ。
広大なプール！キッズプールも充実
一番の売りはこのガーデンの中にある無数のプール。ほとんどの人は入らず寝転んで日焼けと読書を楽しんでます。
浅いプールもとても広い。 タープがついて影になっているプールも、そうでないプールもある。 子供用のプールおもちゃも充実していてキッズクラブから無料で借りれるので、子供達は大喜び！
お部屋の広さはピカイチ
パークハイアットのリゾート型、そしてスイートlルームなので、もうこれが広い広い。ゆうに日本のマンションで暮らす広さを超えています。130m2。
ガーデンビューでしたが、こちらと同じお部屋かなと思います。
全体的に明るい、海らしいインテリアデザイン。でも派手さはないシンプルなのがパークハイアットらしいですね。

ビーチでの夕陽が格別
このパークハイアットのあるエリアは超高級ホテルしかなくて、ビーチはガラ空き。 夕方に行った時には、言葉に表せないほどの美しい夕陽を見ることができた。 子供達は砂遊びに夢中。 海も透明で、水も少し冷たくて気持ちいいくらい。 （アブダビの夜の気温は10度台なので、一枚羽織るくらいがちょうどいいくらいで涼しい） こんな美しいビーチ、他に見たことあるかな、と考えてしまうくらいの美しさだった。
夫もThat was the best beach. I think that’s the hotel I want to visit again the most.”
夜の過ごし方
夜はレストランへは行かず、Careem（中東版Uber Eatsのようなアプリ）を活用しました。外に出るのも勿体無いくらいの素敵なリゾートだったので、ビーチリゾートでゆったり過ごしながら、お部屋のリビングルームでゆったりと食事。子連れ旅では、たまにはお部屋で美味しいものを調達するスタイルが、子供が寝てしまったらとかお風呂のタイミングとか考えると一番楽でリラックスできますよね。
出発朝も、朝食の後もキッズルーム、プール、海とまで遊びました。
4時までのレイトチェックアウトだったけれど この次のホテルであるリッツカールトンがまた素晴らしくて 。また次のブログをお待ちください！

In the winter of 2026, we invited my in-laws from the US for a month-long journey through the Middle East (UAE and Qatar). We spent nearly two weeks in Abu Dhabi, staying in suites at five different hotels: Park Hyatt, Grand Hyatt, Ritz-Carlton, Andaz, and Rotana. First up is our stay at the paradise on Saadiyat Island—Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi.
For any traveler—or more accurately, any parent—if the kids are happy, usually everything else is happy too. That’s why, for high-value service providers, prioritizing children is just good business logic.
I truly felt this at Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi. I can’t even count how many staff members stopped to chat with my children during breakfast. Upon checking in, the girls were given a plushie of a local gazelle named “Tibby,” who became their ultimate travel companion. We even heard that wild gazelles occasionally appear on the hotel grounds. The kids were so determined to find one!
Architecture Meets Heartfelt Hospitality at Breakfast
Breakfast is served in a restaurant with a design so stunning it makes you sit a little straighter just being there. While the resort outside is all beachy vibes, the interior is a striking contrast of black and white. The atmosphere is grand, and the food quality is almost otherworldly.
The service isn’t just “casual”—the staff looks you right in the eye and guides you with true professionalism. My usual order is a Hazelnut Oat Latte, a Cafe Latte for my husband, cold milk for my eldest, and warm milk for my youngest. At some hotels, these specifics get forgotten, but here, they never missed a beat and constantly checked in on us.
The staff went above and beyond. One asked, “Do they like mangoes?” and brought out specially peeled mangoes just for them. They even fetched walnuts and grapes—items not even on the buffet—specifically for my youngest. When I thanked a staff member for being so good with kids, he smiled and said, “I’m from India, and I have two nieces, aged 3 and 1. I spent my whole month-long vacation playing with them.”
In a restaurant in Japan, I might worry that a server was spending “too much time” on one family, but ultimately, what we perceive as “high-value” are these human-to-human moments. It’s not just about the view or the facility.
My only regret? Park Hyatt is so massive that there is an entire “Bread Room” in the back. Even as a big eater, I never actually made it to the very end of that room! As someone who puts absolute trust in Hyatt’s bakery quality, it was a tragedy to leave some stones unturned.
Kids Club: A Toddler’s Heaven
The Kids Club is a dream! A wonderful staff member from the Philippines named Welsun looked after our kids. They played with other children from Russia and Sweden, doing crafts and exploring. With endless toys and an outdoor playground, having only four kids and two staff members in such a vast space felt incredibly luxurious.
Endless Pools and Shaded Play
The main draw here is the countless pools nestled in the gardens. Most guests enjoy lounging with a book, but the shallow pools are perfect for families. There are both shaded (tarp-covered) and open sections. You can even borrow pool toys for free from the Kids Club, which made the kids’ day!
The Luxury of Space: A 130m² Suite
Since this is a Park Hyatt resort and we were in a suite, the space was immense—easily larger than a typical apartment in Japan at 130m². We had a garden view, with an interior design that was bright and nautical. In true Park Hyatt fashion, it wasn’t flashy, but simple and elegant. The living room opens up to a wide balcony, and the high ceilings add to the sense of grandeur.
The bedroom was adorned with fresh roses. In both Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the use of real, beautiful flowers is everywhere. There’s also a spacious walk-in closet area located in the hallway leading to the bed.
Sunset at the Beach
This area of Saadiyat Island is home only to ultra-luxury hotels, so the beach is remarkably empty. When we headed down in the evening, we witnessed a sunset so beautiful it’s hard to put into words. The kids were absorbed in playing in the sand while we enjoyed the crystal-clear water.
Evenings in Abu Dhabi during the winter are in the high 10s°C (60s°F), so it’s perfectly cool and comfortable with just a light jacket. I found myself wondering if I’d ever seen a beach this beautiful anywhere else.
Evening Style: Stress-Free Dining
In the evenings, we skipped the restaurants and used Careem (the Middle East’s version of Uber Eats). The resort was so lovely that it felt like a waste to leave! We enjoyed a relaxed dinner in our suite’s living room instead. When traveling with kids, ordering in is often the most relaxing choice—you don’t have to worry about the kids falling asleep or timing their baths.
We played at the Kids Club, the pool, and the beach right up until our 4 PM late checkout. Even though we stayed as long as possible, the next hotel on our list—The Ritz-Carlton—was also so spectacular that it made me wish we had arrived there sooner! Stay tuned for the next blog.
