ドバイも良いけれどお隣のアブダビも見逃せません。

グランマグランパが途中で米国帰国後、家族四人で大興奮したワーナー・ブラザース・ワールド・アブダビのレポートです。

ワーナー・ブラザース・ワールド・アブダビってどんなところ？

アブダビのヤス島（Yas Island）にあるこの施設は、広さ約15万平方メートル。東京ドーム約3.2個分もの広さがある、世界最大の屋内テーマパークです。1.65 million square feetという圧倒的なスケールで、中には29のアトラクションがあります。

アブダビ政府は今、ヤス島をエンタメの拠点にするためにものすごい勢いで投資しています。すでにフェラーリ・ワールドやシーワールド・アブダビ、ヤス・ウォーターワールドがありますが、さらに中東初のハリー・ポッターエリアの招致も決まっていて、建設が進んでいます。

待ち時間なし、日差しや寒さ暑さなし、空いてて快適！

1万5000円という価格は、これだけの空調と水を使った巨大な屋内パークを維持するコストを考えたら、世界基準なら納得。何より空いてるのが最高です。

「今日は修学旅行生がいるから混んでいる」と言われましたが、日本の感覚からしたらスカスカ！多くのアトラクションが5分以内、長くても15分以内で乗れる状態で、乗り場がすぐそこに見えているレベルでした。

公園みたいな遊具のあるエリアもたくさんあり、雰囲気も良いので、年齢の低い幼児も小学生も思いっきり自分のペースで楽しめます。

私的に一番良かったのは、キャラクターグリーティング

キャラクターとの距離が近すぎるのがここの魅力。ディズニーだと長い列に並んで後ろを気にしながらササッと終わらせなきゃいけないけど、ここは列が全くなくて、スーパーガールやバットガール、スーパーマンたちと5分くらいじっくりおしゃべりできた！

2歳の次女はキャラクターが大きすぎるのが怖いのか、ディズニーでもどこでもミートは苦手なので今回もパスでしたが、4歳の長女は夢中。実は行く前はヒーローの知識なんて全くなかったのに、この日をきっかけに虜になりました。今ではジャスティス・ヒーローズ（スーパーマン、バッドマンなど）について一通り語れるようになり、帰国してからも、夫は毎晩ヒーローの話を３０分くらい話させられていますw

子連れママへのリアルなアドバイス

実際に2歳と4歳を連れて行って感じた注意点です。

空調が極寒！中東の屋内施設はどこも冷房がフル稼働。大人でも震えるレベル。外が暑くても、ママは家族全員分の長袖羽織りものを必ず持っていってください。屋内なので紫外線対策や日傘がいらないのは本当に楽です。
身長制限について 4歳と2歳だと乗れないライドも多かったですが、パーク自体の作り込みが凄いので、その場にいるだけで十分楽しめます。
食べ物は割高食事は街中よりかなり高いです。普通のアラブ料理でも一人3000円くらい。キャラクターマシュマロが500円でした。

日本のディズニーが安すぎる問題

6時間いても全然足りないクオリティでした。日本のディズニーだけ突出して価格が低いんですよね。オーランドのディズニーが3万円近くするのに対し、東京は1万円前後。USJも1万円程度からですが、ここの「待ち時間なしで楽しめるハイクオリティな空間」を体験すると、世界基準の価格に納得してしまいます。

What is Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi?

Located on Yas Island, this park spans 1.65 million square feet (about 150,000 square meters), which is roughly 3.2 times the size of Tokyo Dome. It’s the world’s largest fully air-conditioned indoor park.

Abu Dhabi is strategically turning Yas Island into a global entertainment hub. It already hosts Ferrari World, SeaWorld Abu Dhabi, and Yas Waterworld, and a new Harry Potter land is currently under construction—the first in the Middle East.

Zero Wait Times: It Was Empty(at least from my eyes)!

The ticket price is around 15,000 JPY (approx. 395 AED). Given the sheer scale of the AC and maintenance, it’s a fair price by global standards. The best part? It was so empty!

Even though the staff said it was “crowded” with school trips, by Japanese standards, it was basically deserted. Most rides were a 5-minute wait or less.

With plenty of park-like play areas and a great atmosphere, both toddlers and elementary schoolers can enjoy themselves to the fullest at their own pace.

The Highlight: Chatting with Supergirl

The character meet-and-greets were the best part for me. At Disney, you usually have to rush because of the long lines, but here we could chat with Supergirl, Batgirl, and Superman for a full 5 minutes each!

My 2-year-old usually gets scared of large mascots, so she skipped the photos, but my 4-year-old was obsessed. She knew absolutely nothing about these heroes before we arrived, but now she’s a total fan. Two weeks later, she’s already an expert on the Justice League heroes and asks for hero stories every single night w

Practical Tips for Moms

It is FREEZING! Middle Eastern indoor facilities crank the AC. Adults will shiver! Always bring jackets for the whole family. One plus is that since it’s indoors, you don’t need to worry about UV protection or carrying an umbrella.
Height Restrictions Many rides had height limits my kids couldn’t meet yet, but the immersive atmosphere made up for it.
Food is Pricey A simple meal can cost 3,000 JPY per person, and a character marshmallow was around 500 JPY.

Why Is Tokyo Disney So Cheap?

We spent 6 hours there and still felt like we needed more. It made me realize how uniquely affordable Tokyo Disney is compared to the rest of the world. Orlando Disney costs nearly $300 total per person, while Tokyo remains around $108. USJ starts around $61, but the “no-wait” luxury of Warner Bros. World makes the price feel totally justified.

While it’s not “traditional Middle Eastern culture,” it is absolutely worth visiting when you are in Abu Dhabi, even with zero prior knowledge of the characters!
