先日の宮城での講演の後に、3歳＆1歳の子連れで仙台に2泊3日滞在した際に泊まったのが、リッチモンドホテル仙台。
仙台には「プレミア」もありますが、私たちが宿泊したのは「ノーマル」な方のリッチモンドホテル仙台。
正直、ここが“ノーマル”とは信じられないくらい快適で、子連れファミリーにとって最高のホテル体験となりました！
👶プレイエリア(キッズスペース)が神すぎた…！
ホテルに併設された広々としたキッズスペース付きラウンジは、今回の旅のMVP。
- 仙台で唯一のキッズスペース付き
- 遊具の種類も多く赤ちゃんから小学生低学年くらいまで夢中になってた
- 我が家の3歳1歳も滞在中ずっと遊んでて「早くホテルのプレイエリア行きたい」と言ってた
- プレイスペースの横には、ソフトクリーム＆ドリンクバー、駄菓子コーナーまで！
まるで屋内遊園地とカフェラウンジが合体したような空間。例えば大人一人はパッキングしてる間にフリースペースでご飯食べさせ、思いっきり遊ばせてから出発とかできて、本当にありがたいスペース。（広すぎてここは動画の方がわかりやすいので、載せるね！）
🍭充実すぎるリラックスエリア。
絶対子供がいる人が設計したと思う。子供見ながらコーヒー飲めてソフトクリーム食べられるの最高じゃない？
- ソフトクリーム（バニラ＆いちご）食べ放題、駄菓子バーあり
- コーヒーマシン、スープバー、カフェラテ、フィルターコーヒーあり（しかもちゃんと美味しいんだよ、コーヒーが。こういうのは安い機械で騙されてる感じのところが多いけれど、そんなことなかった。）
- お部屋への持ち帰りOK
- チェックイン後も使える
キッズスペース、アメニティラウンジと合わせて、子どもも大人も大満足の癒し空間。

- ベビー用グッズ（おむつ・おしりふき）→必要な分だけ自由に取れるスタイル。おむつって嵩張るから、嬉しすぎてここに一番感動（笑）
- 消毒グッズ、バウンサー、バンボなど豊富なベビーキッズ備品
- 枕、ボードゲームや絵本、おもちゃなども貸出可
- リファのドライヤー＆ヘアアイロンも貸出可。フェイスパックも！
🛏️お部屋も快適！
お部屋もリノベされて綺麗で、大きくはないが機能的で全部詰まってる。
- リノベ済みで清潔＆コンパクトでも機能性抜群
- MIKIMOTO COSMETICSのシャンプーあって嬉しい
- シモンズのベッドで寝心地最高
- 清掃も丁寧
- プロジェクター付きやサウナ付きの部屋もあるらしい！
客室階の廊下も明るくて通路が広い設計。
掃除する側にとっても、下にアメニティ自分でとってきてもらう方が時短になって良いと思う。
ほんと、無駄のないホテル！
🧑💼スタッフ対応とチェックイン体験
- チェックイン＆チェックアウトは自動機械でスムーズ
- 混雑を避けられて、子ども連れでもストレスなし！
- うちは先に我ら家族がチェックインし、そのあと母が来たのですがスタッフもみなさん丁寧で感じが良く、対応も完璧でした
🏃♀️アクセスと立地
- 仙台駅から徒歩10分弱（体感ではあっという間）
- タクシーを使うほどではなく、毎回歩いた
- 坂道上の瑞鳳殿に行くときだけ往復タクシーを使ったけれど、タクシーが走ってるエリアで便利
- アンパンマンミュージアムやポケモンセンターも近くて子連れ人気エリアのど真ん中！
💬「さすがホテル」と呼んだ長女の一言に、すべてが詰まってる
滞在中、私があまりに何度も「ここ最高！」「ありがたすぎる！」と言っていたからか、
3歳の娘はこのホテルのことを**「さすがホテル」**と呼ぶようになりました（笑）
💰料金（2025年6月時点）
- シングル：1泊約8,000円〜
- ファミリー利用（大人2＋子ども）：約14,000円〜
もっと知られたら絶対人気出て高くなると思う。

仙台駅前には「リッチモンドホテルプレミア仙台駅前」もありますが、今回泊まったのは**「プレミアじゃないほう」のリッチモンドホテル仙台。
キッズスペースやアメニティバーがあるのはこっちです！！
予約時にはホテル名をしっかり確認してね。
🧑🧑🧒客層
仙台唯一のキッズエリア付きホテルなので子連れがやはり多い。
若い人だけのグループやビジネスラウンジやジムもあるけど、とにかく一番は子連れに売れてる様子。
また外国人はそこまで多くなく２割くらいだとホテルの方が教えてくれました。

If you’re visiting Sendai with kids, this hotel in Sendai is the place to stay.
👶 Kid’s Play Area That Feels Like a Dream
The hotel’s spacious indoor play area with a built-in lounge was hands-down the MVP of our trip.
- The only hotel in Sendai with a proper kids’ play area
- Toys and equipment suitable for babies through early elementary ages
- Our 3-year-old and 1-year-old kept saying, “Can we go back to the hotel playroom now?”
- Right next to the play zone, there’s a soft-serve bar, drinks, and a snack corner
It honestly felt like a hybrid between an indoor playground and a café lounge. One parent could pack the luggage while the other fed the kids and let them play freely — it was a lifesaver.
🍦 Free Family Lounge = Parent Paradise
Whoever designed this clearly has young kids.
- Free-flow soft serve (vanilla & strawberry), plus retro Japanese snacks
- Coffee bar with filter coffee, lattes, soup, and more — and yes, the coffee is actually good!
- Everything is self-serve and you can even bring snacks back to your room
- The lounge stays open post check-in and can be accessed freely
It’s located next to the kids’ playroom and also includes the amenity station. Both kids and parents will love it — it’s cozy, clean, and practical.
🧴 Amenity Station That Truly Understands Parents
Forget packing diapers — this hotel provides them, for free.
- Baby items like diapers and wipes (grab as much as you need)
- Sanitizer, baby chairs, bouncers, baby bathtubs, board books and more
- Lending items: pillows, board games, children’s toys
- ReFa hair dryer, hair iron, and even face masks available for borrowing
- High-end MIKIMOTO COSMETICS shampoo in-room
It was one of the most thoughtfully stocked amenity corners we’ve seen — like a compact luxury parenting store you don’t have to pay for.
🛏️ Renovated Rooms That Make You Feel at Home
The rooms were recently renovated and while compact, they’re smartly designed.
- Modern, clean, and highly functional
- Simmons beds were so comfy we all slept great
- Loved the in-room MIKIMOTO shampoo & amenities
- Some rooms even come with projectors or private saunas!
- Bright, wide corridors made it stroller-friendly and stress-free
Everything felt intentional and practical. As a parent, I actually loved that we grabbed our own amenities from the lobby — even the cleaning system is efficient!
🧑💼 Check-In & Staff Experience
- Check-in & check-out are done via machines — smooth, no waiting
- Perfect for families who want quick transitions
- We checked in first, and my mom joined later — the staff was helpful and friendly throughout
Honestly, one of the smoothest hotel check-ins we’ve experienced in Japan.
🚶♀️Location & Accessibility
- About a 10-minute walk from Sendai Station (easy even with kids)
- We didn’t need a taxi except when visiting Zuihoden, which is up a hill
- Taxis are easily available around the hotel
- Anpanman Museum and Pokémon Center are both nearby — kid paradise!
You’re right in the heart of Sendai’s family-friendly district.
💬 My Daughter Called It “The Boss Hotel”
Throughout the stay, I kept saying, “Wow, this is amazing!”
Eventually, our 3-year-old started calling it “The Boss Hotel” (a toddler way of saying “this hotel is clearly on another level”).
I couldn’t agree more!
💰 Pricing (as of June 2025)
- Single room from around ¥8,000/night
- Family of four from around ¥14,000/night
For what you get, this hotel is insanely good value.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the price goes up once more people discover it.
⚠️ One Important Note: Not the “Premier” Version!
Sendai has two Richmond Hotels:
- Richmond Hotel Sendai (where we stayed)
- Richmond Hotel Premier Sendai Ekimae
Only this one (not the Premier) has the kids’ play area and amenity lounge.
Make sure to double-check the name when booking!
🧑🤝🧑 Who’s Staying Here?
While the hotel welcomes all types — including solo travelers, businesspeople, and gym-goers —
it’s clear that families with small kids are the main crowd here.
A hotel staff member told me only about 20% of guests are foreign, so it still feels like a hidden gem for international travelers.
