1月中旬、家族でコンラッド東京に泊まりました。
Conradとは
コンラッドといえば、Waldorf Astoriaと共に、ヒルトンブランドの中の最上級ブランドだそうで。新橋や汐留駅からすぐということで出張目的の方が多く、またヒルトンなのでアメリカ人客が多いのが特徴です。私は初のConradでした。日本だと東京と大阪にあり、2026年には名古屋でも開業予定だそうです。
Conrad Tokyoは全室290室。宴会場は別棟にあるそうです。
12時 CHECK-IN @Lobby
28階のロビーに行くエレベーターの乗る前から、いい香りが漂います。
到着すると豪華で、天井の高いエントランス。
アーリーチェックインでお部屋にも入れるよと言われましたが、お腹空いているし、外の浜離宮恩賜公園にも行きたいし、だったので荷物だけ渡して外に出ました。
ちなみに、ラウンジアクセスのある階にアップグレードされるといいな、と思ったのですがそれは叶わず。
ラウンジあるとアフタヌーンティーとかディナーとも出してくれるから子連れには便利なんだけど、
ただ、お腹空いた娘のためにクッキーをくださったりするホスピタリティが素敵でした。
娘はクッキーをくれた人をその後もずっと探して “Where is the nice man” と言ってました。
1230 ホテル近くでランチ
隣の汐留シティセンターで見つけたタイ料理を。
このビルは会社が多いので、いろんなお店がお弁当も出してるし、とっても便利！
浜離宮恩賜公園の中で食べるのもありだと思います。
1345 浜離宮恩賜公園
私も初めて行った浜離宮恩賜公園。徳川将軍家が所有した江戸の代表的な大名庭園なのですね。
江戸時代からの景色が美しく、また梅が咲き始めていて嬉しかった。日陰だと寒いけど日向だとコートを脱いだ程でした。
1500 お部屋へ
お部屋は３５階でした。シティビューから、ベイビュールームにアップグレードされたので、さっき行った浜離宮恩賜公園がパノラマみたいに見える！
お部屋のお風呂エリアは透明窓になっていて、海を見ながらの入浴も可能！
シンガポールとかドバイでこの形多かったな。
少し遠いけれど洗面所やアメニティはこんな感じ。ボディクリームはとても良い香りでした💐ドライヤーがレプロナイザーなのは嬉しい❤️
ベビーベッドはもちろん、0歳用のベビーバスと、2歳向けのステップもお借りしました。
でもベビーシャンプーやクリーム、歯ブラシなどもなかった。でも子供パジャマはありました。
1530 お友達が来てホテルツアー&おしゃべり
先週滞在した目黒雅叙園の時もお友達に来てもらったので楽しかったので、
今回はトラベルブロガーとして世界中をプライベートでも仕事でも一緒に旅したことのある
Yukoちゃんに来てもらいました。ロビーラウンジよりも３５階の部屋の方が景色もより良くて、授乳もおむつ替えもできて、子連れには助かった。
1800 Dinner
外で食べようと思いましたが寒すぎて、かつせっかくベイビューの夜景があるしテーブルがあるから
テイクアウトにしました。カレッタ汐留のB２で買いました。
隣の電通ビル、の横のカレッタ汐留。
お昼も思ったけれど、ここら辺はビジネスマンの方用のお店がいろいろお店あってテイクアウト便利！
ちなみに、ラグジュアリーホテルならではの、夕方のターンダウンサービスもあり、部屋がまた綺麗に整えられていました。枕元にお水が用意される。
2045 MIZUKI SPA
子供達を寝かしつけた後、夫の言ってきていいよ、に甘えて
MizukiSpaのジム&お風呂へ。
スマホを持っていかず写真を撮らなかったのですが、綺麗な場所でした。
ここのスタッフさんがとても親切で、みかんをくださったり、20年経ってるんですよーとか説明いただいたり。
お風呂は一人一人のジェットバスが４つクローバーの形で繋がるというとても珍しい形でした。
お風呂を他人とシェアしたくないアメリカ人に向けた場所なのかな、と思います
そして部屋に戻ると
ままーままーと泣いている（と言っても大泣きではない、ぐずる）2歳の声と、
これまた寝付けずおっぱいが欲しくて泣いている0歳。
おっとよ、ごめん、と思いつつ、二人を宥めて
ふかふかベッドで眠りにつきました
Next Morning・・・
おはよう！
8:00 Breakfast 朝食@ 28階 オールデイダイニング「セリーズ」
時間 6:30～10:30
料金 大人 5,000円 6歳～12歳 2,800円
ロブスターオムレツが名物ということで頼みました。美味しかった！
オマール海老、マッシュルームフリカッセ、ビスクソースがかかっているそうです。
和食もありましたが先週滞在した雅叙園に比べると、正直少し劣るかな。
出来合いの卵焼きは残念だった。でも、自家製豆腐はとても美味しかった！
GINZA SHINBASHI WALK
その後は銀座や新橋を少し散策。
私にとってここら辺には住んだことがなく、完全に「仕事で訪れる場所」だったので
子供向けの場所を探すのに一苦労。
結果、博品館という玩具屋さんに連れて行くと2歳の娘は大喜び！
知っているキャラクター商品は全部触れて、そしてBRIOのおもちゃで遊べる広場。
昔からあるらしいですが、４階全てを回っていたら時間がたりない程でした。
Amazonに押されて玩具屋さんがなくならないように、少し支援の気持ちで小さなおもちゃを買いました。
Lunch at CHINA BLUE
有名らしいこのチャイナブルー。食べログでもGoogleでも評価は高く、友達に教えてもらって知りました。
レストラン内にディスプレイされた高さ8mのワインセラーは圧巻。
そして浜離宮恩賜庭園や東京湾を一望しながら、8200円のコースをいただきました。
ちなみに、これでも一番お安いコース。アラカルテが一つ4000円くらいなのでお得だろうということで。
朝ビュッフェでお腹いっぱいだったけれど、
味上品だからか７品のコースをスルッと食べてしまいました。
むしろ少ないほど？？？我ながら私のお腹底知らず。
特にお気に入りだったのは２品目の牛肉の、６品目の麺、最後のデザート。
最初はおもちゃに夢中だった娘も６−７品目はよく食べました。
高級店でも、2歳0歳の子連れランチは決して優雅ではないw 椅子でベッドを作ったり。抱えながら啜ったり。
そして
16:00 CHECK OUT。

感想
初めてのコンラッド滞在でした。ラグジュアリーxシティホテルということで、基本的には広いというよりは縦に高い空間などが特徴。
開業してもうすぐ20年も経つとは思えないほどの綺麗さ、そしてスタッフのフレンドリーさが魅力だと思いました。
私たちはハイアット系列に泊まることが多いので、どうしても比較してしまいます。アメニティでは、オムツやクレンジング、コンタクト液などを準備してくれるハイアットが勝つかな。
でも、場所の便利さと、設備が新しく見えるほどの綺麗さはコンラッドの方が上かな、と思いました。

実は年末年始にハイアットリージェンシー横浜、1月２週目に目黒にある雅叙園、
それ以外にも鎌倉や川崎の生田緑地、横浜こどもの国にも行ったり、人のお家にも何軒もお邪魔させていただいて、年末から本当にずっとお出かけしっぱなしの我が家。
これで少し落ち着くかな？
年始の立て続けの事件で日本に激震が走り、お家があること、家族が元気でいることのありがたさを改めて実感しました。
今年も家族と、お友達と、健康で楽しいお出かけがたくさんできますように。

Mid-January: Our Stay at Conrad Tokyo – Honest Review of the Good and the Bad!
About Conrad: Conrad, along with Waldorf Astoria, is one of the premium brands within the Hilton family. Located near Shimbashi and Shiodome stations, it caters to many business travelers, especially Americans due to its Hilton affiliation. This was my first stay at a Conrad, and in Japan, there are Conrad hotels in Tokyo and Osaka, with a new one opening in Nagoya in 2026.
Conrad Tokyo has 290 rooms, and the banquet hall is in a separate building.
12:00 Check-In at the Lobby: The elevator to the 28th-floor lobby had a pleasant scent even before we stepped inside.
The entrance was grand with high ceilings.
We were offered early check-in and access to our room right away, but since we were hungry and wanted to visit Hamarikyu Gardens nearby, we left our bags and headed out.
I had hoped for an upgrade to a lounge-access room, but that didn’t happen.
Although the lounge is great for families, with afternoon tea and dinner, the hospitality was fantastic. They even gave cookies to my hungry daughter, and she kept asking for the “nice man” who gave them to her.
12:30 Lunch Near the Hotel: We found a Thai restaurant in the neighboring Shiodome City Center. This area is great for quick take-out, with many businesses offering convenient lunch options.
We also considered having lunch in Hamarikyu Gardens.
13:45 Hamarikyu Gardens: It was my first visit to Hamarikyu Gardens, a historical Edo-era garden once owned by the Tokugawa shogunate. The views were beautiful, and it was exciting to see the plum trees starting to bloom. It was chilly in the shade, but the sun was warm enough to take off our coats.
15:00 Heading to the Room: Our room was on the 35th floor, and we got upgraded to a bay view room. The view of Hamarikyu Gardens was like a panorama!
The bath area had transparent windows, so we could enjoy a view of the sea while bathing. It reminded me of hotels in Singapore and Dubai.
The bathroom and amenities were a bit distant but well-organized. The body lotion had a lovely fragrance, and the hairdryer was a Repronaizer, which I was happy to see!
We also borrowed a baby crib, a baby bath for our 0-year-old, and a step stool for our 2-year-old. However, they didn’t provide baby shampoo, cream, or a toothbrush. But they did have kids’ pajamas.
15:30 Friend Visit for Hotel Tour & Chat: I invited my travel blogger friend Yuko, who I’ve traveled with both professionally and personally. We had a great time catching up. The view from our room on the 35th floor was even better than the lobby lounge, and it was convenient for nursing and changing diapers.
18:00 Dinner: We had planned to dine out, but it was too cold, so we decided to enjoy dinner with a beautiful bay view from our room. We grabbed take-out from Caretta Shiodome on B2.
In the area, many business-friendly restaurants make take-out easy!
The luxury hotel experience also included a turndown service, where the room was tidied, and water was placed by the bedside.
20:45 Mizuki Spa: After putting the kids to bed, I took advantage of my husband’s offer to visit Mizuki Spa’s gym and bath. It was a beautiful space, and the staff was extremely friendly, offering mandarins and sharing that the spa had been around for 20 years.
The bath was a unique design, with four jet baths shaped like a clover. I thought it might appeal to Americans who prefer not to share baths with strangers.
When I returned to the room, I heard my 2-year-old daughter and 0-year-old son crying for me, and I had to calm them down before finally falling asleep in the soft bed.
Next Morning… 8:00 Breakfast at 28th-floor All-Day Dining “Ceres”: Breakfast was served from 6:30 to 10:30. The adult price was 5,000 yen, and for children aged 6–12, it was 2,800 yen.
I ordered the signature lobster omelet, which was delicious! It had lobster, mushroom fricassée, and bisque sauce.
There were also Japanese options, but compared to the breakfast I had at Gajoen last week, it was a little disappointing. The pre-made tamagoyaki was a letdown, but the homemade tofu was excellent!
Ginza & Shimbashi Walk: We then took a stroll around Ginza and Shimbashi. Since I had only visited these areas for work, I struggled to find places for kids. However, we ended up at the Hakuhinkan Toy Park, where my 2-year-old daughter had a blast. She played with toys and even spent time in a BRIO play area. We spent so much time there that we didn’t have enough!
I bought a small toy as a show of support for the store, which is competing against Amazon.
Lunch at China Blue: We dined at the famous China Blue, recommended by friends. The 8-meter-tall wine cellar displayed in the restaurant was impressive. The 8,200 yen course was the most affordable option, and it was delicious! Despite feeling full from breakfast, I managed to enjoy the seven-course meal. My favorite dishes were the beef in the second course, the noodles in the sixth, and the dessert.
My daughter, who was initially distracted by the toys, also enjoyed the food.
Of course, dining at a high-end restaurant with a 2-year-old and a 0-year-old is far from elegant! We ended up making a bed out of chairs and had to feed them while holding them.
16:00 Check-Out: Goodbye, Conrad Tokyo!
My 5-month-old son loved the Conrad Duck and Conrad Teddy made from Chirimen fabric. At this age, everything goes into his mouth!
Review: This was my first stay at Conrad, and I was impressed by its blend of luxury and city hotel features. The space was more vertically expansive than wide, and the hotel was still in great condition after nearly 20 years of operation. The friendly staff made the experience even better.
We usually stay at Hyatt properties, so we couldn’t help but compare. Hyatt tends to provide more amenities, like diapers and contact solution, but Conrad’s location and cleanliness (it looks almost new) were superior.
We’ve been traveling constantly since the end of the year, visiting places like Hyatt Regency Yokohama, Meguro Gajoen, Kamakura, and Kawasaki, and I’ve been to several friends’ houses. It feels like we’ll finally have a break.
The recent events in Japan made me appreciate the importance of having a home and healthy family. I hope this year brings more happy and healthy family outings for all of us. Wishing everyone a wonderful year ahead!
